Over 45 Plus Size Outerwear Options for Winter!
So, Houston hasn’t given us consistent cool weather for me to pull out all of my plus size outerwear. Right now I am living vicariously through the photos of other people who live in cooler climates lol. There are so many nice and affordable outerwear options for us. Depending on your city and the weather you experience during winter, there is something for everyone.
I wanted to provide you guys with many options in this post. For example, there are some different styles of cardigans, petticoats, trench’s. and more. My personal goal is to have several style coats in my wardrobe in various colors so I can create many looks with my outerwear. Here are some ideas on how to style some of your plus size coats and jackets.
STYLING PLUS SIZE COATS & JACKETS
I love a good long line cardigan. It adds some chic-ness and feminine flare to a very simple outfit. Think of a train on a wedding dress, but make it casual lol. I found some really cute long line cardigans like the one linked here which is a very fluffy, comes in a couple of colors at $28. Another great cardigan option is this long one from H&M. It doesn’t drag the ground as the one above does, but it’s definitely a great option to have that can go with a lot in your wardrobe.
I love this longline cardigan from Walmart as well. I can’t get over the pop of color, and thought it would be perfect with a solid black outfit. This way it is the focus of the outfit. This belted sweater robe is only $26 and it comes in black and cream.
I got this trench coat well over a year ago, and it’s a great buy. The length is perfect, and the style is timeless. ASOS has a ton of plus size coats at various ranges, and they have a similar trench to this one. This is perfect for timeless, casual and even elevated looks.
Waterfall coats give such an effortless look to a casual outfit. This plus size waterfall coat from Boohoo is $28, and comes in black and tan.
