If you’re like me, you are so ready for Fall to make it’s presence. Though, in my reality, the Houston heat is just as persistently hot as it was in May. Since my main goal is comfort and second goal style, I love a good maxi dress that can achieve both for me effortlessly.
This is a cute and affordable floating maxi dress from Target. Yeah, the place where you go in for one them and leave with 15 additional items that weren’t on your list. As soon as I saw this dress, I had to have it! The burn orange color is perfect for both summer and transitioning into the Fall season. Since dealing with the deadly heat here in Houston, the fact that the dress had spaghetti straps was a win!
*Note: to those that normally avoid spaghetti straps because you don’t have a strapless bra...this is the perfect time to invest in one! Maxi dresses feel so much better with strapless bras. Also, you can avoid dodging great looking clothes because of not having the right foundation.
This dress is by the brand Ava & Viv. If you are new to shopping at Target, Ava & Viv is one of their plus size brands and my favorite to shop at this store. They are true plus size (meaning they either will run exact or slightly bigger than other plus size brands.) To add a little flavor, I pared this maxi dress with these ankle strap sandals which are also from Target. The look was completed with this gold chain black purse. Very cute and comfy summer and warm fall outfit idea.
