We are in the last few weeks of Spring before Summer peaks her beautiful head around the corner. That means we need more plus size and curvy women in their swimsuits flaunting their gorgeous bodies.
This is usually the time of year when all of our insecurities began to rear their ugly heads. Swimsuits are seen as something some think they can not wear due to personal insecurities of how their bodies look. I want to step in front of that for you and say, “Not today Satan”!
Some of you may be worried about your stomach, cellulite, loose skin, discoloration, and I’m sure other things. If we were to always live in fear of showing and being our true selves in front of others, we will never get anything accomplished.
Your body gets you to and from work, it helps you get a good nights sleep, allows you to make money, bears your children, and helps make your house a home. Our bodies do a lot for us each and every day. Don’t allow yourself to think it’s ok to be ashamed of your body because it is not perfect.
Would you be ashamed of your children, because they looked a certain way? Would you be ashamed of your family or your best friend? Then why do it to your body? You have been blessed to have one like everyone else, that doesn’t mean you have to look like everyone else.
You and your body have been through hell and back together. Celebrate with it…and never be ashamed of it.
