Cute Corporate Finds At Gordmans

Since starting my new job, I have been doing tons of shopping for work attire. It never fails, no matter how many clothes I have, I never seem to have anything to wear to work the next day. I know I’m not the only one that goes through this every week lol. So, lately I have decided to shop smarter and chose places such as Gordmans where I can get great quality for the price.

Shopping can get ridiculously expensive, especially when you want to shop for great finds. Better quality has been higher on my list lately, but I don’t think it’s too much to ask to keep the price tag down as well. So, when I was asked to go to Gordmans and shop for some clothes I was surprised to see how affordable their prices were.

Can I be honest with you guys? Lately, when it comes to shopping for clothes, I am not an “in store shopping” kind of gal. I love being able to find some great clothes at the scroll of a screen. Because of this, I was a little reluctant to go to Gordmans and shop. I was thinking, “Am I going to have to search through tons of hangers to find 1 shirt that I may want to wear?” Honey lets be real! I know you guys hate searching through those hangers too!

But here is the thing. After I walked out of the store, I was so happy to have been contacted by Gordmans. It was one of the best in store shopping experiences I had had in years. (And they did not pay me to tell y’all that! This is the honest truth!)

The Clothes

I was was very happy to see the stock of plus size clothes that were available at Gordmans. You guys know how our sizes are usually stuffed at the back of stores, with low lighting and merchandise and trash thrown everywhere. It could really negatively affect our shopping experience, but most brands seem not to care. Thank God I did not experience that at Gordmans. All of the clothes were clean, organized, and presented in a way that let me know they take pride in all of their customers, and not just the thin ones.

Trying on some of the items was a great experience as well. The clothes felt great on my body, and fit very well. The skirt (c/o Gordmans) I am wearing is in a 3X and is very comfortable on, and I also noticed sizes up to 24. So, we definitely have great options to choose from. When I came across brands such as Puma in Gordmans, I was so surprised. I learned that they offer great deals on designer and brand name fashion and home decor, and they get new merchandise every week.

The Prices

Since Gordmans is an off-price retailer, they get excess inventory from department and specialty stores for their customers. This means we get exceptional deals on designer and name brand fashion and home decor at greatly reduced prices.

From shopping their plus size selection, I can tell that Gordmans wants to have the lowest prices on the market. The shirt (c/o Gordmans) I chose for my look was 12 bucks and the skirt was 13 bucks. So for $25 I was able to create a nice and stylish outfit to wear to work! It’s hard to do that with most of the “affordable” retailers, so I was happy to see how great the prices are at Gordmans. Because of their large assortment of merchandise, it’s hard for Gordmans to make sure all of their merchandise is tracked against competitor prices. This is why they have created the Lowest Price Guarantee.

How this works is if you find an item that has a lower price somewhere other than Gordmans, then you can bring in the ad, receipt or website showing the lowest price and Gordmans will match it! Oh, and they also reward you with a $5 gift card for helping them flag items that need to be lowered in price. So, it’s basically a win win! You will get the price match plus $5, and Gordmans will get help in flagging items that need lower prices. Talk about efficient!

The Customer Service

I couldn’t believe how great the customer service was at Gordmans. Usually, I am a real stickler about how I am treated in a store or restaurant, so to see how natural the staff was in making sure I had a great experience made me feel very appreciative. I knew it was genuine, because none of them knew I was working with Gordmans as a blogger, yet they treated me well anyway.

Not only was the staff smiling and having consistently positive attitudes, but they made sure to keep the place clean. The plus size section felt like every other section in the store. Our clothes were neat, organized, clean, and cared for just like any other size. I never thought it was too much to ask for our size range to be treated as equals amongst straight size customers, and I am glad to see Gordmans feels the same way.
