With us being less than 30 days away from one of the best plus size events of the year, I think it would be great for you guys to hear how much fun I had at The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo last year. Also, I have a treat for you guys. I’ve included the great things you can expect this year as well! Let’s get into it.
I won’t lie, when I decided to go to TCF Style Expo last year I was super nervous. I saw the pictures of the previous years event, and all of the people that attended which automatically made me so nervous to attend. But, I knew this would be my first plus size event ever, and I could not walk away from getting to meet some new people and see how the industry really works in person.
Once I made it into the event, all of my nerves hit the floor. The atmosphere was so welcoming and everyone there was so friendly. I met bloggers, designers, industry leaders, and other everyday plus size women who can identify with our everyday struggles.
The panel discussions were my favorite parts of the entire event. It’s just something about being able to hear first hand the experiences our industry leaders have had, things that affect their businesses, and learning about their journeys. The invitations to ask questions was also very informative. There was never a reason for me to feel as if I was not welcomed in this community.
Marie Denee (founder of thecurvyfashionista.com) graciously included some nice party and mingling time, By allowing us access to the VIP lounge, I was able to meet and dance with some of the industry favorites such as Crystal Coons from Sometimesglam.com, the talented Monif, the beautiful Gwen DeVoe and many more.
Every year Marie makes this event bigger and better offering us great education, speaking entertainments, networking events, and premium shopping. We even get a chance to workout our curves in a dance class this year! Here are some more things you can look forward to this year:
