Yeah I know, it is typical to cover up in the winter time in order to shelter yourself from the blasphemous cold weather you can endure. On the other hand, I live in Houston, TX and there is not such thing so…I decided to show a little shoulder while out and about downtown.

I’ve been experimenting with layering, which is also great if you don’t have many winter clothes like myself. So I used tights underneath my pencil skirt to keep warm. These wide calf boots from Ashley Stewart are extremely comfortable. I wear them quite a bit when it’s chilly outside. I bought this top at Ashley Stewart when looking for something to wear to a Christmas party. This is the first off the shoulder top I’ve had that does not constantly slide whenever I’m moving around. I can’t express how comforting it is to not have to constantly tug at my shirt for it to stay in place. If off the shoulders are too much for the temperature in your city, then you could layer a cream turtle neck under this top for warmth.
