It’s not a surprise to me that we don’t see many plus size women walking around in a tube dress.
I have a real big pet peeve. Really, I have several, but we are only going to get into one of them today. Plus size women will always run across that person that feels you have no business wearing certain outfits because of your size. I will never forget the friends and family members who despite them not being asked, present their opinion in this way. Sometimes you have to ignore small minds.
At first I was skeptical to wear this tube dress, because I was not sure if it would fit me and how comfortable it would be. This dress felt great despite my initial concerns. I ordered it from Shop Love Yourz and have worn it as both a dress and skirt. (see picture below). My current dress size is a 20 and I rarely let people stop me from wearing what I want to wear. I don’t get criticized a lot, but it does happen and I hate to see anyone not embrace their style because of these idiots in the streets.
When styling this dress with accessories, you can tell I was very minimal in my final choices. These black fur strappy sandals are perfect for a simple piece such as this tube dress. The shoes paired with this black and gold bag from Just Fab and some bed time hair and I was ready for my downtown outing. 🙂
